Youthpass

Untitled design (8)

Youthpass is a tool that is part of the European Commission's Youth in Action Program, now replaced by the European Solidarity Corps. It aims to recognize and validate the learning outcomes and experiences gained by young people through non-formal and informal learning activities, such as volunteering, youth exchanges, and training courses.

In other words, a Youthpass is a certificate that acknowledges the skills, competencies, and personal development of young people who participate in youth projects. It helps to demonstrate their achievements and strengths to employers, educational institutions, and other organizations. It is also a way to support young people in their future personal and professional development.

The eight key competences of Youthpass are:

  1. Communication in the mother tongue

  2. Communication in foreign languages

  3. Mathematical competence and basic competences in science and technology

  4. Digital competence

  5. Learning to learn

  6. Social and civic competences

  7. Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship

  8. Cultural awareness and expression
